I really enjoy Arthur. I really think Arthur and Sue Ellen like each other. They've had 11 seasons of Arthur. If they have anymore seasons of Arthur. I think that one of the focus points of the future seasons should be Arthur and Sue Ellen falling for each other. Let's face it, Since Sue Ellen's lost Diary episode, Sue Ellen has said that she wrote nice things about Arthur, so I think she likes him. So, I think that Sue Ellen should show more ways that she likes Artur or Arthur doing nice things for her, or both. Even if it means their other friends helping them. Sue Ellen and Arthur have feelings for each other. I think it is time for those feelings to come out and make their appearance.
Well, I haven't been keeping up with the latest Arthur episodes, since around the time Jenna had her bedwetting problem and Pal and Kate began talking, we unsubcribed to our TV connection and I became addicted to the internet.
But I do think at that point as well, it sort of slipped from relatable to ridiculous, but it was still lovable and gripping. But with all the talk of Buster leaving, voices changing, D.W. becoming a brat (ESPECIALLY Buster leaving - can anyone tell me more about that please?), I think I can safely say that Arthur has jumped the shark. However, old fans like me (I'm a teenager) can still watch reruns of our favorites!
I've noticed in the later episodes of this show, the writers have decided to give the characters issues: asthma, bed-wetting, emotional issues, etc. My question is: Why don't the writers tackle issues like divorce and re-marriage? I'd seriously like to see Buster's mom (or dad) remarry, and then there would be episodes where Buster has to come to terms with this. Or even have one of the character's parents divorce, and show how the kid deals with that. That would be quality entertainment.
I think the character Arthur has gotten better in this further season espically since he hit puberty.
Earlier when the show came out he was a self-concious quiet kid who seemed very unsure of himself but now I think he has gotten a bit more backbone and is actually becoming more bolder in what he says, what he does, and for once actually instigates some troublemaking of his own instead of being dragged into the middle of it.
I admit I still watch it but you know its not as bad as some of the other children's shows they have out nowadays, but I will name off a few moments where it seemed to take a slump in the ratings
1. The Library musical...need I say more?
2. Buster's spin-off. Luckly they did the sane choice of making them two seperate shows, there is no plot development in this one and it would seriously bring down the rest of the original series.
Buster just appears to be very dim and not as smart about the state he is visiting which dosen't make sense since he and his dad travel for a living. The band is lame. What happens if they write the song for the fifith state....no new material after that.
3. That whole episode with Muffy and the Backstreet Boys. Muffy is my least favorite character and her love of a outdated boyband just confirms it, but what really made me hit the ceiling was that they explained it as a form of Rock'n'Roll music. I doubt anyone else you would find the term "rock" and "BackStreet Boys" in the same sentence.
4. The whole Kate and Pal talking, it steers it to far from the books. Not a good thing.

Arthur was a great show for almost everyone, the early episodes had issues that almost any kid could relate to especially if they have siblings and it had clever jokes from time to time, then the kids actors went through puberty it was still okay but they should have made the kids go up another grade or two, but then they just had to replace them with younger kids so the kids went reverse puberty especially Arthur and Brain who got deep voices but then they just had to be replaced by little kids and women and now they have really high pitched voices, then they had to made Kate and Pal talk, and why were all of D.W.'s voices boys? when she is a girl you could really tell in the one where they get addicted to an online game, they should have cancelled it after they replaced them.
