I can't bear to watch the show at all anymore. I think it jumped the shark when they broke up sam and jas. Lulu and Liz are the worst characters on the show, I won't watch again until they leave the show. The only one I like on the show is Claudia and Johnny, but even they can't save that mess. How sad.

Oh man! I have been watching GH since I was 11 years old. My mom however, didn't approve of it after the rape of Laura. I secretly watched it after this.

I remember the summer Luke and Laura went on the run and tried to decode mobster, Frank's black book.

GH has been all mobster since I was a girl. But you know, at least way back then there were better actors, better stories, and believable couplings.

I don't mind the mob stories, but Guza needs to be kidnapped by a Cassidine and thrown into a time machine and sent 1000 years ahead of us so some else can take over. In fact, fire all the writers and replace them, before they destroy all of the legacy characters.
I don't want to watch Robert Scorpio on Nightshift!!! I could give a rat's butt about that show. Put him back on GH and send Sonny, Carly, and Jason to nightshift. Then Guza can continue to live out his dark and abusive fantasies through the three of them.

This show has gotten darker, in comparison to 10 - 15 years ago.

Someone said the show jumped the shark with the weather machine that was going to freeze Port Charles! LOL

I agree, that was one of the big ones.

I'm just tired of seeing legacy characters given horrible story lines and dialogue, or getting killed off.

I can't believe GH won best daytime emmy this year either. Guza will now continue to think he's the most awesome writer now!

GH jumped the shark when they gave Robin Scorpio HIV, paired her with lowlife thugs, like, Jason and Stone.

Then, the show totally jumped when it focused on Sonny, Jason, and Carly.

I'm a Alicia/Courtney fan, and I don't won't her to come back to GH! (IT pains me to say that) BUT Courtney was a plot point character. The writers didn't invest her. SURE they loved Alicia BUT IMO they did not love the character Courtney! I feel the same way about Kelly's character! I think the writers LOVE Kelly but I don't think, they are invested in her character. Not for one minute! It's sad, but true. Sam could be a GREAT character. I totally FEEL what the Sam fans are going threw... The writers once had Courtney going into a burning/flaming building to save a doggie name skippy! (BTW is her character's nickname online) WTF? I'll be honest... I loved the show, when it was LIRIC, S&C, Jason and Courtney. I had my light and dark! But, I can understand how some fans hated it. If I had my way? I would put Jason with Carly or Sam...Liz with Lucky... Alexis with Ric.. Emily with Jax...and Nikolas with Courtney... (I Adored them) Maxie with Johnny... LuLu with Logan(before the whole sex bet thing) and last but not least, Robin with Patrick! I no longer watch GH... I don't think anything make watch GH anymore. The show is boring! PERIOD! I hated to see anyone loose their job! But Either A) GH needs new writers! B) ABC needs to let all their soaps go to Soapnet. I predict GH ending in the next few years.

I think a lot of crappy things go on behind the scenes of general hospital
that fans don't really know about. I was watching some old scenes of gh from like 97 between luke and sonny and you could see that then, MB knew his place, now its like he just runs the show and over powers every scene he is in, its kind of the same with SB too. I think its a shame that the writers would sacrifice actors and balance of talent on the show, and ultimately ratings and emmy nods to appease these two and GUZA's delusions of soprano grandeur
Last year ric hearst w/o a major storyline was the only one to get an emmy nod ... was he rewarded with his own s/l no ... just backseat it until sonny needs a villain.
Also GH has recently begun 360 and trashing characters[sam and lucky] to prop others[jason and liz] and thats a tactic I would expect from DAYS but not them, they kill off interesting well liked characters: Georgie, Alan, Emily[to a lesser extent] and keep characters like the nightshift rejects Nicholas[who hasn't been interesting since the late 90's] Max aka Jay Leno gets love and a minor story but Georgie couldn't?

GH jumped the shark in late 2002-early 2003. Right when Robert Guza became the head writer. IMO.

Can we pleeeeeeeeeease get more Johnny Zacchara with his shirt off? Maybe in every scene? The background would be just fine. If you wanted him to have his pants off as well, I would NOT argue.

When Laura "drowned" and they tried pairing Luke up with other girls..the chemistry just wasnt there.Luke is still pretty sexy though,I must admit..Alease

GH jumped the shark when they gave Jason Morgan a son yet refused to let him be with the boy. That's beyond stupid. He can run all over town saving everybody else and their kids, but he cant be with his own son and the mother of his child. So instead of having Jason be about his kid, they have him walking out on his son so that he can continue to shoot people up.

GH needs Vet storylines. When was the last time we saw Monica have a story or even a patient? When was the last time Tracy had a story that did not centre around Luke. Or when was Luke used for something other than comedy. GH needs to stop the Sonny and Jason show though I like Jason he gets way too much airtime and need to be wrong for once. Also wha about the PCPD stop making them look idoits Mac is a smart honourable guy who is a much better person than the so called St. Sonny, but Guza never gives him a story. Even when Robert came back Mac got very little time with his brother. Guza needs to blance the show for starters Sonny and/or Jason need to go to jail for at least a year and they need to be busted by Mac. Oh and just wondering does anyone even like Sonny anymore?

GH jumped when the soap become a mob saga that constantly focused on the boring, Sonny, Jason, and Carly.

And also getting rid of wonderful, legacy characters like Felicia Jones, Alan Quartermaine, Bobbi Spencer, Laura Spencer, Audrey Hardy, Stefan Cassidine, Tony Jones, and other legendary vets.

Guza sucks its all sonny all the time. GH needs to return to its roots LnL, and give vets real storylines. I would love to see Robert come back team up with brother Mac and bring Sonny down once and for all. Also the show need varity storylines for all ages not just teens and the so called St. Sonny hour. get real MB sucks his talent is all in his head, he needs to remember that he was just one of many before Guza fell in love with him. And 1 more thing what happended to Stavros returining? GH could use a cassadine and though I love Helena she is getting old

Well, this is a soap opera, and soap operas are known to do ridiculous things, but GH has had far too many up close and personal moments with the shark.

1. It's pretty much become the Sonny/Jason/Carly/Lulu show. Anytime other characters seem to get shine only when backing up these four. They are good in small doses, but beyond that, I can't stand them.

2. Speaking of Lulu, wtf is really going on? They destroyed Luke and Laura's daughter. Why do they have every young man chasing after her? Why does she lead them on like that?

3. All the senseless death! Alan and Tony were bad enough. Emily was horrible. But then they killed, of all people, GEORGIE?? Frisco and Felicia's little girl? Why? And to add insult to injury, she was killed by her friend.

4. No happy couples. No cute, romantic, anything! The closest thing to a cute, happy couple is Spinelli and Maxie, and they aren't even dating! (speaking of Spinelli, can't they calm his happy ass down? Sometimes he seems like a human, and then they decide to make him into a raving loon again. We get it, he has no social skills. Sad though, he's a cute guy, but hard to listen to!)

5. Yes...we actually DO appreciate and want to see our vets.

6. I can watch the Sopranos or The Godfather trilogy if I wanted to see the damn mob all the time. Other stuff has to be happening in Port Charles.

7. And the worst offense of all: the writing staff is garbage! WTF have they been thinking over the last few years? And what is ABC thinking letting it continue? I know they see those crap ratings. Better do like Y&R and sack all of them, before the word cancellation starts to come up.

This show jumped the shark when it started focusing on the mob and became centered around Sonny, Jason and Carly. Sonny is the mob boss who every woman wants to sleep with despite the fact that he will treat them like crap and will become practically abusive. Yet women find that sexy. Then we have Jason who has to be the hero in every story. Not to mention that everyone practically kisses his butt. Every year its the same crap with some bad guy or guys trying to eliminate Sonny and Jason and of course failing because they are the almighty. We have veterns being killed off and some characters barely being seen. The character of Carly is always in other peoples business and yet almost every man seems to pine after her. Oh yeh and bringing back favs like Robert and Holly and Noah and ruining them.

General Hospital has definately "jumped the shark!" The show does not focus on the hospital or the characters at the hospital anymore. But this started way before Sonny. Back in the 70's the show was more about the doctors and nurses, but in 1980, it became about Luke and Laura and their adventures. All of their adventures were boring; The Ice Princess, The WSB, and most of all the mob wars! This show has a bad habit of only focusing on certain characters ie. Luke, Laura, Sonny, Jason, Carly (whoever she is being played by) Robert, and Anna. All of their storylines were boring, and they totally ignored the doctors and nurses at the hospital. Unfortunately on that show, every storyline leads to Sonny, Jason or Carly. Here are some ways to make this show work:
1. Get Rid Of Sonny once and for all.
2. Emily was a lying slut, leave her dead, she just can't stay away from Nicohlas on and off screen!
2. Bring the focus of the show back to the hospital.
3. Have storylines for all of the characters.
4. Bring in some black characters who do something. Bring back the original Simone Hardy and Tom Hardy who came back in the late 80's.
5. Bring back all of the dead Quartermaines; Alan, A.J., Justice, and poor Georgie. They can make up a storyline that they were being held hostage on some island (remember Days of Our Lives did it).
6. This is not a world where all the people are straight and white, bring in a gay character for God's sake! And make him stable and strong. He should also hook up with one of the male characters on the show!
7. And last but not least, Stop having everyone change bed partners every five seconds! Did we forget about AIDS all of a sudden?

If eveyone would voice their opinion about this dreaded show, maybe the writers would make some changes! General Hospital has become "Generally Boring!!"
