Last night, I was looking over "You Tube" and found that someone had recently uploaded the pilot episode. This episode was called "Katie the Crook". Even thought I have the first season on DVD, I decided to watch the episode through my computer just for the heck of it. Through the duration of this episode, Katie was wearing a very snug pair of jeans and Julie had on slacks. I would consider those two sexy rears very nice eye candy! On top of this, when Katie was ready to leave, she gave Julie a rubber duck that her mother had given her when she was a little girl. Julie said that it was cute. Katie responded with, "so are you"! Like usual, I was very filled up by the sense of female bonding!
After I've re-read my comments in my previous post, I've changed my mind! I don't really care about Hazel Shermet at all, so please please disregard my question about her! I don't know why I feel the need to keep asking such silly questions about stuff I don't care about at all! I just like to read my own words on here! And I want all of you to read all of what I have to say, whether its meaningful or not! I want to just keep blubbering on and on and on and on until I have absolutely nothing else to blubber on about! And then maybe I might blubber on just a bit more just for the heck of it!
What in the world keeps happening to my posts on this particular board? This is really making me sick to my stomach! One a different note, what do other true fans think of the three episodes in which Hazel Shermet made an appearance? I think that she is very good at playing slapstick! I would say that my favorite episode of season one and my second favorite of the whole sereis is the "Emergency". On this episode she played a busybody on a pay phone in a hospital. What do other people think of the episode and her part in it?
Little Joey Lawrence was so great on this show! I just adored him! And of course he grew up into that great big hottie that I still fantasize about! He's always been on my list along with Christopher Knight (the lovable Peter Brady of course) and Malcolm Gets (adorable Richard from Caroline in the City) and who can ever forget Mr. George Clooney who I fell in love with when he was on the Facts of Life! Whenever I think of them, I act kind of like Homer Simpson with drool running out of my mouth...hahaha!
Here we go again with my message on this page coming down in less than twenty-four hours time! It seems like that one thing that you can count on as much as death and taxes! And what really spokes me out is that it only happens on this page! I have posted oodles of messages on other pages on this site and they are still up there. Go figure!
After re-watching all the episodes about 25 times each, I finally figured out that I was wrong about my lesbian comments. I agree completely that there was a lot of female-to-female loving going on here! I totally missed it the first 30 times I watched the shows and maybe I was just blocking it out!

Don't forget to head over to all of my other pages like Caroline in the City, the Brady Bunch and Facts of Life to read all of my great comments on those pages, and also to read my wonderful blog over at TV Shows Are My Life to catch up on all of the tasty tidbits that you've missed about my daily TV viewing experiences! I will keep you up-to-date, I promise you! See you there!
I am going to have to say that I do not know where the last poster is coming from with all of this lesbian business. There is no question that Nell and Addy were portrayed as best friends but so were Laverne and Sherliy before them and Jamie Buchman and Fran Devenoe after them. I will agree that the last season was pretty unwatchable, but not because of that.

In the past, I have posted a bunch of messages on this page about my appreaction for Hazel Shermet in general and her work on this series in particular. Of the three times that she appeared on this show, it was her second that I liked the best. This episode was called the "Emergency" and she played a busybody on a pay phone in a hospital. I thought that her performance was halarious! Another show that she made a couple of appearances in was the "Facts of Life". Earlier this evening, I posted a message about her on that show's page of this site. I would be very interested in what other fans think of it!
Didn't Nell Carter go on to play Big Momma in "Big Momma's House"? LOL ("Damn, that's a lot of ass.")

I guess I must not have watched this show that much because I don't remember anybody dying. The main episode I remember is when Nell and the Chief go on a diet and fall off the wagon together literally devouring the whole kitchen.

I think this show JTS when Nell and her "best friend" moved to the city. Their volatile lesbian relationship became evident and disgusting.
The first thing that I would like to mention is that I am the most recent person to sign the guestbook of the lovely little Lauri Hendler. On top of this, I have posted a bunch of recent messages on the "Gimme a Break!" page of "Sitcoms Online" and have received a few responses. I would really like to see more! One thing that I have mentioned on all related boards is my fondness for the episode known as "Samantha's Protest". I told everyone all about how much it filled me up to see Samantha burst Katies bubble at the end of the episode. Well some guy who read one of my posts on this topic managed to upload the entire episode on to "You Tube"! Bless his heart! The last time I checked the whole episode was still there for the viewing just in case anyone is interested.
GIMME A BREAK NEVER JUMPED THE SHARK. IT WAS A COOL SHOW FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY IN THE '80S. I WATCHED IT EVERY WEEK, AND I LOVED IT. NELL CARTER WAS NELL HARPER, A BLACK WOMAN WHO TOOK CARE OF THE CHIEF AND HIS KIDS, AFTER THE CHIEF'S WIFE DIED. THEY ARE WHITE, BUT THEY LOVED NELL JUST THE SAME AS A FATHER WOULD LOVE HIS KIDS.
Hey Smartboy,

Why do you put very in quotes? Is it some sort of innuendo or something? I'd post a response, but I don't get your point.

Oh, and this show was a piece of garbage....
I am posting here pretty much to stimulate some more conversation about this fine show! I just wish more episodes would come out on DVD! In any event, I have recently posted on the "Gimme a Break!" section of "Sitcoms Online" and signed the guestbook of Lauri Hendler (Julie). I also posted messages on both sections of a site dedicated to Lea Thompson who was Caroline from "Caroline in the City". I would be "very" interested in what anyone out there thinks of any of these posts!
Hello All
Im New...
One thing I am having a very hard time understanding is why my posts on this stie keep dissappearing! This is at least the third time that I am posting on the top of this board in about a week! Nothing about my posts has been vulger or obcene so I do not understand why they keep coming down. The only thing about my last two that could be considered distasteful is that I called Kanny Rogers a loser. However, he (I am supposing it is a "he") has said a lot worse about me and his is still up! Go figure!
Gimmee A Break was a bigger pile of crap than Nell Carters' whole body, Smartboy, so that's why nobody is responding to your thread! Also, Maureen McCormick asked if you could please stop stalking her!! P.S. Julie, too!!!
