Great stuff! I don't remember the names of any of the episodes, but I liked them all. My favorite GAL moments:
Chris gets shot through the chest in a court room by the evil Food Inspector, and then we see him standing there casually, with this huge pie-sized hole through his body, and he just looks puzzled, and asked the indifferent people in the room, "Does anyone feel a draft in here?" I laughed so hard, I felt like I had been shot.
The episode where he makes a drink that lets him travel through time, and he has to return several times to the past to fix the "mistakes" he caused until finally he drinks from the "wrong bottle," and we see it is not the time travel juice, but is actually, "Juice That Makes You Explode." He says, "Oops, wrong bottle," and then his entire body blows up. Gus walks in, sees Chris's dismembered remains scattered about and nonchalantly says, "Yuck! I'm not cleanin' that up." Once again, I laughed until I thought I was going to explode. Beautiful writing, indeed. Dark comedy at its best.

Zoo Animals on Wheels & Wallet Boy were true classics. The one where he and his dad are in the bathtub submarine was pretty hillarious too.
One of the best, funniest, most surreal shows ever. Why is the complete series not on DVD? Why did stupid, stupid Rhino just put out a meager handful of randomly selected episodes on two DVDs (both now out of print)? How long must we wait for Chris Elliot goodness?
How come no one is mentioning my two favorite episodes?? Chris and Dad at the newspaper carriers picnic competing against all those kids? Hysterical! And Chris believing he was adopted by his parents from an Amish family who he sets out to meet!!
Even my wife laughed at that one!!!
Sorely missed!!!!!!!!!!!

Possibly the funniest show that will ever be. This was so cutting edge when it came out, Fox was a new network and willing to take chances. David Mirkin acknowledged in a DVD commentary that this show was meant to be the "anti-sitcom". Chris Elliot plays the best psychotic/moronic man-boy ever.
There was an episode where he has to spell "pants" and is no longer smart enough to. I think it had something to do with a exposure to nuclear chemicals. Anyway, I remember laughing through the entire episode.
Funniest moment I remember from this show: Chris is on a picnic with some people, and they're sharing an enourmous corn on the cob. The camera pulls back to reveal a nuclear reactor just behind them. Biggest laugh I ever got from a t.v. show!
This show never jumped. Chris Elliot's dad (from the very funny Bob & Ray team) and Elinor Donahue were perfect as Chris' parents and just as funny as he was.
Funniest TV show ever - period!
Never jumped because it was always funny! Many shows change the main character's situation from season to season.

This is my favorite comedy series, but at the time, years before the phrase "jump the shark" was coined, I knew it did exactly that at the start of the second season. In the first season the stories more than less followed the laws of physics, but in a desperate act to save to boost the ratings, in the second season it became an all out live-action cartoon. That said I'd still buy both seasons of "Get A Life" in a heartbeat if released on DVD.
ONE OF THE GREATEST SHOWS OF ALL TIME! Hilarious episodes, week after week. It's hokiness was the intent of the show. From Spewey, to Gus, to Erma, to Sharon, to elderly Petersons, and of course...Chris Peterson...the show was replete with unforgettably funny characters! NEVER JUMPED!
I agree that it needs to be put out in a collected DVD format!
