RIP Good MadTV.
1995-2007

Goodbye Mike McDonald, and good luck with your career.

If you want something funny people, switch to SNL...its gotten better.
michael mcdonald is gone for good!!!!!
I hated ms.swan
WHEN MO COLLINS LEFT HER TAKE_OFF ON SHAKIRA WAS PRICELESS WHERE IT SHOWS HER JUST GYRIATING IN THE MUD AND HER PARODY OF ALANIS MORRISETTE THAT "WASH-ME" VIDEO WITH ALANIS TAKING A BATH IN THE WASHING MACHINE WAS A SROKE OF GENIUS SHE"LL BE MISSED DITTO FOR NICOLE SULLIVAN HOWEVER NICOLE PARKER IS STILL ON
I used to think that Bobby Lee was pretty funny. I could even take the Asian bits (especially Johnny Gong and Pongo). But, having to be forced to look at his naked, flabby body in almost every skit is a total turn-off.
Enough already!
Season 13. This is the season that not only jumped the shark due to the writer's strike, but has jumped it even before the strike had been talked about. SEASON 13 SUCKS!!!
I really think the theme song is a minor issue- they'll probably bring it back next year cause enough people complained.

Sketch comedy shows are the exception to the JTS rule- because just like SNL, some seasons are better than others. Just because one season is bad doesn't mean the rest of them will be.

The early seasons of MAD, up to Season 6, had many "comedy gold" moments. The show was really great in the 1990s. The cast around Season Five was excellent, too.

Season Six was up and down, though it had some of the best sketches in MADtv history- I believe the Sopranos parody came around then. Season Seven was awful, Season Eight was great. Nine and ten were okay. Season Eleven was bad, but the show made a complete turn around in Season Twelve when it returned to its early season form. In Season Thirteen, primarily due to the change of format, the writer's strike, the best of episodes, budget cuts, and everything else, the show was much worse than ever. Nevertheless, they did come up with the Under Barack Obama sketch- which has garnered about thirty million views on YouTube.

I'd say that if Season 14 isn't an improvement over S13, then the show has probably jumped the shark for good, but S14 is really their chance to jump back as well.
I stopped watching when they lost the theme song.
This show has never been funny. It's upsetting that I can't turn on comedy central without it being on in some eight hour f-ing marathon of unfunniness.
when MO COLLINS LEFT HER BEST CHARACTER WAS TRINA AND WHEN NICOLE SULLIVAN LEFT AND WHEN BRIAN CALLEN LEFT AND ARTIE LANGE LEFT
I don't really watch the show anymore. However, I find it strange that people voted that it JTS after Nicole Sullivan left. Well, I disagree. She was starting to get a little annoying. There was a time that she was on the show in almost every sketch. Also, her only good impersonation was Celine Dion (Mo Collins' was better). Her Britney wasn't that good---she couldn't sing like her to save her life! Same with Justin Timberlake! The Vancomme lady started getting overplayed. I just find Nicole Sullivan-still-to be an annoying person with an annoying voice.

Debra Wilson had annoying qualities too but I could tolerate her better than Sullivan. The Stewart and Ms. Swan characters were usually annoying and funny at the same time.
Well I think losing the theme song killed all respect I had for MadTv. Although I do enjoy the old cast, its just a bit dusty. I really enjoyed it when Ike Barinholtz and Ron Pederson were on. They kind of brought back the one-liners you pee your pants because of. I used to be a fan of Bobby Lee's (espeacially when doing sketches with barinholtz) but I'm sick of the asian thing. I love madtv but they really need to rethink themselves....fast!
Why don't they just rename the show "Bobby Lee Wears a Dress"?
Hey, as good as past MAD cast members have been......the real standouts, most versatile and funniest have been Michael McDonald, Stephanie Weir and Deborah Wilson.

Weir was the real star..... that face of a thousand faces..... and a mind that could wrap itself around the wildest character.
We get it Bobby Lee you're an asian. Its not funny after the first 4 years.
