I REALLY LOVED THIS SHOW AND STILL WATCH IT QUIET OFTEN. IT WAS AT ITS BEST WHEN CHRIS AND RITA FELL IN LOVE IT WAS THE LOVE STORY OF ALL TIME. THEN IT WAS OVER THAT EVEN THOUGH SHE LEFT TOO THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD ONE OR TOO EPISODES WHERE SHE CAME BACK WITH BABY CHRIS. OR SHE NAMED HIS SAM.BY THE WAY ANYONE WHO LOVES THE SHOW LIKE I DO CAN GET ALL EPISODES FROM NETFLIX.COM

The best TV show ever! Every episode was amazing, Rob Estes and Mitzi Kapture are both great, and the show jumped when they killed off Chris!

The show used to be sexy and would come on before USA's Up All Night. At some point they re-stylized the whole show, and it loast it's sexy edge.

This show NEVER jumped.

I liked the way it kept up with its "adults only" approach.

I don't think there were ever any "kids" (which I define as being junior high age or below) in the show!

Silk, was like JTS, rebound then JTS again. I saw some of the Chris and Rita years, and yes Kapture and Estes were good together, but after awhile I loss interest. Then came the infamous put them together, then kill him off, WTH was that, if both actors were leaving why kill Chris off, it made no sense what so ever, could of seen it if Kapture was staying but she wasn't. So why not let him get shot, but survive, but because he needs rehabilitation he and Rita leave, how hard could this be. Then came Holly and what's his face, two no talents, with no chemistry, no pazazz no nothing, once again what were TPTB thinking in casting these two, I was starting to wonder if they were trying to ruin the show. Then the show gets a reprive, and TPTB wise up fire the no talent duo and hire, two actors, who not only had talent, but had somewhat of a following, Chris Potter, who had been on Kung Fu: TLC, and Janet Gunn who was in the final two and best seasons of Dark Justice, not only did they have talent they had chemistry, which helpped revive the show. But once again TPTB blow it big time with the series finale which was downright horrible, with Tom saying he never loved Cassie but truly in love with some skank who was double crossing him left and right, then shoots him in cold blood. So not only did TPTB thrash Chris and Rita, they thrashed Tom and Cassie as well, guess Holly and what's his name got off easy.

This show jumped during season 3, first off they changed the boss again from Ben Vereen's Hutch to Capt. Lipchitz....second they no longer worked "silk Stalkings" i.e. sex crimes but where now handling regular homicides as well. also Rita now began to dress more realisticly..i.e. in seasons 1 and 2 they always had her in a skirt or dress, in season 3 and up she began to wear pants etc. Also when they began to write Lance and Lorenzo off, they brought in the other two who u could tell where gonna try and be knockoffs of L&L so they where quickly scrapped and they brought in Tom and Cassie...who were ok, but again u knew they'd add romance to their partnership asap... i loved this show but even i could see the shark was coming

I would really like it if you would show some reruns of silk stalkings or tell me a way of ordering all the seasons of this show. My sisters and I really enjoyed this show it was the one thing that we use to do together it was like the only time we spent together and I miss that

"Silk Stalkings" was an exceptional series until they wrote (more to the point) killed off Chris. Mitzi getting pregnant didn't help; they had to deal w/that somehow. The next 4 detectives tried to make a go of it, but it was Chris and Rita's show.

I really loved and still love this show. For the record, Rob Estes left so he could work and spend more time with his wife, josie Bissett, who was on Melrose Place. Mitzi Kapture was actually pregnant by her husband Bradley Kapture and was going to leave the show to put more time into her personal life, and taking care of her child when she was born. Rob actually didn't want to do season 5 at all, but did anyway. When he said he was going to leave, Stephan J Cannel had his character unmercifully killed off. With Mitzi's impending visible pregnancy, the plot was changed to that Lance and Lorenzo fell in love and 'did it'. In my very humble opinion, a much better route would have been to have Chris and Rita do it, marry, and the leave Palm Beach and live somewhere else. In other words, have a happy ending, while still having both actors go on to other shows. The only reason I kept watching Silk was because of Charlie Brill and Mitzi McCall, who played the Captain and his wife. Sorry Janet and Chris. They were good, so was Nick and Tyler, but neither couple had the same on screen chemistry like Rob and Mitzi. Suffice to say, the show jumped for me when Chris died and both he and Mitzi left the show. It wasn't the same without them. BTW- the reason Cap Lipschitz was always angry with them is simply because his hypochondriacism forced his blood pressure to raise forcing little things (such as lack of coffee) to anger him immensely.

It jumped when Rita Lance (Mitzi Kapture) and Chris Lorenzo (Rob Estes) moved on to bigger and better things like Bay Watch and Melrose Place respectively...right! I would be sure to catch the opening two minutes of every show because there was always an extremely hot scene to open the show. The background shots were always filled with lovely fauna also. When Janet Gunn arrived you could always tell if an action scene was coming up because she would be wearing slacks.

Is it just me or did they stop showing this show when it was still on, or maybe I just stop watching it unconsciously. Why did Rob Estes leave did he know melrose place was on its way out. Who leaves a really good show for an aaron spelling show that bites ass.

It was a unrealistic Cop Drama about crimes of passion. However, Mitzy and Rob were great together. Without them the formula fell apart.

I absolutely loved this show. Chris and Rita had the greatest chemistry I've seen since Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd in Moonlighting. Both Mitzi Kapture and Rob Estes have great talent. However, there were many times that this show "jumped the shark". By the fourth season, it could be seen that the sexual chemistry between Chris and Rita was becoming more obvious. I believe the writers brought in Jillian and Eric to keep from making the mistake of having Chris and Rita become intimate too soon. But, to me, Chris and Rita together wasn't a mistake. It was great to see them finally get together, but it all happened too fast. One week they're sleeping together for the first time, the next they're pregnant, then the week after that engaged, then the following week married. What happened to dating? Then along came Holly to fill Rita's place when the Captain finds out about the marriage. As far was I was concerned, Holly could drop dead in a gutter. No one was good enough to replace Rita. Them, IMO, the show did it's most drastic "jump" when Chris was shot and killed, followed by the hasty departure of Rita, to never been seen or heard from again. I was glad when Janet Gunn and Chris Potter signed on as Cassie and Tom. They had good chemistry and seemed to pull the show out of the slump that the two previous actors had managed to put it in, but it just wasn't the same. I think the viewers and fans would have at least loved the Captain to have been in contact with Rita and maybe have had a special episode where Mitzi made a guest appearance in the later seasons. Over all, Silk Stalkings was a great show with many pitfalls, good and bad actors, and a seriously lame excuse for a series ending. Bring on a reunion, I want to see what happened to Rita!

The show jumped when chris and rita left...The two they brought in next completely bit the dust. Then they brought in that hottie Janet Gunn and Chris potter from Kung-fu: the legend continues and they where good but no chris and Rita. I so enjoyed the first 2 seasons...when they actually where solving "Silk Stalkings" cases...in season 3 it sort of became a real cop show, it didn't make it much better.

Yup - make the characters go all the way with each other & you've got the makings of a shark jump! I'm surprised more people didn't comment about Janet Gunn (the last female cop with Chris Potter). OH MAMMA was she hot! Amazing breasts! Right up there with Mimi Rogers and Adrienne Barbeau. I didn't exactly watch the show for the plot you know....
