i liked this show. i really liked the adorable josh byrne as brendan lambert. i wonder why he left? maybe he went 2 university or something, and they just didn't bother 2 explain... my 2nd favorite character would have 2 be rich. loved him in fullhouse as nelson, didn't see much of boy meets world, but what i did, liked him there 2, and liked him in step by step. who cares if he's a dork? he's cute 2!
little lily was alright, she's just a little kid, and yes, they shouldn't have aged her so fast, but oh well, she did ok.
this show was good but i did not like the episode were frank and jt had to kiss carol's and daina's feet .i thought that one seemed lacking.
I loved this show, but, when they brought in Bronson Pinchot, I knew it was over.
Is it possible for a show to jump twice? Well if so, here's where it happened:

1. The fatal mistake that many sitcoms make: Bring in a newborn baby, then age the child from infant to 6 years in one season. If that wasn't bad enough this was the most annoying, smarta** of a kid imaginable.

2. The producers decide to make it even worse by flying in "Balki" from Mepos. The only thing worse than his acting is that horrific, fake accent. Most of the time I couldn't even understand what that idiot was saying.

On a side note, I was never too fond of that little shrimpy guy "Rich" either. He was always bouncing around, begging for attention. For such a scrawny guy, he sure was a BIG DORK. Just how many of these ABC shows was he on anyway, because if memory serves I vaguely remember seeing him play the same 'easily-forgettable' roles on Boy Meets World and Full House.

But anyway, I liked the show from its debut in 1991 up until sometime around '95 when they decided to ruin the show with the baby, and then resurrecting it and killing the ratings all over again by hiring Balki with his 'phoney-baloney' acting and accent.
I hate JT. He is such a player wannabe and thinks all a real woman wants in a guy is his penis. Sadly, that is all he had and nothing that attracts a woman in a real man!
love this show. better than the stuff that's on tv now a days. the 80's and 90's shows r classics 4 me. (i'm born in '86, so of course i like it as it is my generation)
What bothered me about this show was the blond girl. The very bad, Tori Spellingesque dye job on that poor girls head. Still makes me shudder.
In my opinion, they jumped almost as soon as JT became stupid and counldn't get any girl. Its not that they did it for one episode, I think they did it to shove it down our throats. They were thinking "Oh A Dumb Kid who cant get a girl, that's a brilliant idea" Cory from Boy Meets World looked worse and he got a girlfriend and girls constantly hit on him. Urkel got a girl on Family Matters. How does this Equal I ask you?
definitely when karen decided to become a country singer!
Omigod,so I was not hallucinating-one of the kids DID do a disappearing act a la Judy Winslow and Chuck Cunningham! I never could understand such idiocy on the part of television sitcom producers and writers-do they really think the viewers are that stupid?
I used to watch all the TGIF shows as a kid, and yes, this was one of them. I'm surprised nobody mentioned the episode where Urkel ended up in their back yard (he'd invented a jet pack of some sorts). Talk about shameless cross promotion on the part of ABC.

Also, Brendan and Judy Winslow were secretly killed...
I really like this show, even the last couple of years where the show clearly lost its way and seemed to be reaching in desperation by fiddling around with the cast way too many times. To wit:
*Cody (Sasha Mithell) is arguably the most popular character on the show, but is dumped amid allegations he beat up his wife (later completely aquitted, as the wife was found to be an abusive alcoholic who was a threat to their kids).
*Brendan Lambert (Josh Byrne) up and disappears from the cast in the final season, with no explanation, let alone mention, as to why and how they lost a kid. Rumor has it that Josh was dumped from the show for getting too fat.
*Also during the last season, Mark Foster (Christoper Castile) was missing from the majority of the final-season episodes. Apparently the producers of the show did not care for awkward pre-teen boys.
*The birth of Lilly, then sudden tranformation of her being a baby one season, then a six-year old the next.... weak. Her way-too-cutsie thing wore thin from the moment she first spoke.
*After Season One, they axed two characters immediately, reportedly as a result of a focus group that said they did not care for them on the show. They were Carol's (Suzanne Somers) sister and mom on the show. So now we're led to believe that Carol's once thriving and busy beauty salon can be run by just her?
*Bring on Bronson Pinochet was, in my opinion, an unmitigated disaster. Simply not a funny actor or character, but at least he provided help at the beauty salon. Ohh, and to lead us to believe that a world-famous hair stylist would choose to work for Carol in Port Washington, Wisconsin.....then show an episode where then-first lady Hillary Clinton supposedly comes to Port Washington for a haircut from Jean Luc...... come on now!!

So, I've provided six of my reasons the show not only jumped, but jumped all over the place. Nevertheless, I still love the show. Back-to-back episodes can still be seen on ABC Family at from 2-3pm on weekdays, plus Saturday and Sunday mornings.
WHAT? NO ROLLERCOASTER! LOL!
The combination of Patrick Duffy and Suzanne Summers........the answer to the question nobody asked!
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this as another ABC sitcom which had an annoying "Disney Vacation" episode in a shameless and stupid attempt to promote the parent company.

What, Did Everybody Loves Raymond on CBS not have time to visit a Westinghouse plant?

How come Kramer never headed for the GE Research and Development facility in Schenectady, NY during Seinfeld? They could have had the Real Edison Reality Tour.

Only Disney could take any ABC sitcom and turn it into a commercial for themselves.
