The judges are annoying as fuck, especially Tyra. Now, we all know this show is a lame excuse to preserve Tyra's TV presence, but they don't even judge modeling, for Christ's sake. They're always like "You don't have the right PERSONALITY..." and stuff like that. I remember in the last cycle, some girl got cut because Tyra said she looked pretty and she didn't say "Thanks Tyra!!! WHAT AN HONOR!!"

Stick to modelling. And by the way, Cycle 8 is lame because Renee was totally pretty, but also the best model. She was elegant and produced multiple looks. Choosing that ugly transvestite anorexic Jaslene was really obnoxious.

But yeah mostly Tyra needs to stop being a nun and lecturing girls on their morals and all that. She's so conceited, you know, she's always like "This week's photo shoot reminded me of this one time, when I was in Paris with blah blah..." Take the spotlight off yourself for one second, girlfriend, sheesh.

The show jumped the shark when Nicole won. Nik was high-fashion,exotic, had a great portfolio and was a great covergirl. Nicole was bland and the biggest brat ever!

Well, of course Top Model is rigged, at least when it comes to the top few finalists each season. The show gets loads of fan mail, imploring producers and judges to ensure that many different cultural backrounds and body types are represented and have a genuine chance at winning. So viewers often have favorite choices for Top Model, and their hopes rise as the season progresses. They want their one special role model to 'realize her goals and dreams'! If models didn't have a shot at winning just because they couldn't fit into a size four- imagine the backlash from recovering anoretics and from anyone who advocates for young women in America today. As long as the winners are congenial, well-spoken, and know how to work within their varied body types to create exciting and credible photos and runway shows- they deserve an equal chance to become America's Next Top Model!

It was very sad watching a true top model like beautiful Anya, lose to a fat tubby like Whitney. Obviously the show is rigged. No one in their right mind would hire Whitney and her fat size 12 at least thighs. She's a real disgrace to the modeling agency.

I agree with the majority vote: the show jumped when Janice left. I mean, any reality TV show can stage catfights for the kind of tension viewers love, but nobody could drop bombs of criticism like Janice. She was far more interesting than that supercheesey drag queen judge. Nigel Barker was always pleasant and diplomatic, to balance things out. I liked Tyra but not Tyra-Mail, which always elicited the stupidest squeals of excitement. As far as the winners go, Eva Pigford was exquisite. Naima and Jaslene were beautiful, too, and I was happy they won. Nicole was pretty enough but had nothing special about her, and Danielle should not have won either. The judges had talked to her about how she needed to get help with elocution, but picked her anyway! She may have been a real trooper when she was sick, but you can't impress the upscale fashion industry with a projects dialect. The best thing about Top Model was the photo challenges: freezing water, Madagascar cockroaches,
elephant rides. The girls' reactions were unpredictable then, and they had to work extra hard to take believable pictures.

i dont get how whitney and that other girl were considered plus size!!!!!!!! they look they were like a size 10 @ best. are plus sizes determined differently in the model world. cuz ima size 7/medium and im curvy but nor fat...i wanna be a model. i love tyra and antm but sometimes she gave into model stereotypes like pickin the tallest girls (i'm only 5'2, u have to be 5'7 to get on the show) and picking those anorexic looking twins. they weren't even cute. jaslene was skinny but she was gorgeous. eva was short but she was cute. i wanted anchal 2 win over those ugly twins!!!!

I agree. Being 'not-a-size-2' myself, it was kinda nice to see a 'plus-size' win. I just wish it wasn't Whitney. Her attitude was horrible and her pictures were just OK. I thought Anya was going to win. However, by the time it was over, everyone's attitude stunk and I really didn't care who won.

I love this show! I've loved every season. I really didn't want Whitney to win because I was a big Kat fan, and I also agree that Nik was way better than Nicole. Ok, one more: I think Yaya should have beaten Eva simply because I thought she was the prettiest. At any rate, Tyra can tell them whatever and do whatever...she's an actual TOP MODEL and knows the job! I wouldn't tell her how to do her job any more than I'd expect her to tell me how to do mine!
Side note: I do think Whitney "had" to win because it was high time a decent plus-size girl got in there. I wasn't a huge fan of Anya, but I week after week she had the best pics and was NEVER in the bottom two!

Cycle 10 was rigged because she only chose Whitney so she can make a statement about plus size girls, it had nothing to do with Whitney's personality or performance during the competition.

I'm not hatin' on Whitney because she is a plus size girl but her photos were lackluster every shot her mouth is open and Tyra got onto Nik, Heather, and Naima for posing profile. Whitney's attitude sucked talking about other girls, rolling her eyes, being pageantry, commercial was horrible with fake ass grin.

If you compared her portfolio and attitude to Anya, Lauren, Katarzyna, and Claire who would you book to show off your designs.

Tyra take Paulina's advice and you be a photographer and let Paulina be the judge and bring back Janice.

I HATE TYRA!!! Because...
1. She's obsessed with saying the models dont "want it" enough. NEWS FLASH LADY: IF THEY DIDN"T WANT IT THEY WOULDNT BE THERE!!!!
2. She thinks she's so great just because she can "smile with her eyes" (whatever THAT means).
3. The judeges have no say in who goes home they just do whatever tyra says.
4. She always puts words in the models mouth's because she always is like, "YOUR MAKING EXCUSES BLAH BLAH BLAH" and the girl is ike, no, I'm just explaining myself and shes like "BLAH BLAH BLAH IM TYRA BANKS SO SHUT UP"
5. she is a poop.

I would love to see a white woman get her head totally shaved smooth.we had black girls,but they had short,bad 80s hair anyway,so it was pretty obvious it was an improvement.Like the lesbian girl Ebony i think--she had this stupid strip on the top of her head.it didnt do anything for her.She looked more classic when they shaved it off.

Twiggy was smart and sweet. Just too sweet. Janice was perfect.

They jumped the shark when Janice left. The shark turned around and ate them up when they got all indignant when a model made a little joke about the stick up Nigel's ass. It's there even if they don't like to admit it. The jerk wouldn't know a sense humor if it bit him on the uh... stick.

That's the last show I watched all the way through.

Oh my god...that's the funniest thing I've read here! So true. I'm surprised more of them don't pass out. The very best moment in television history was egomaniac Tyrant screaming at the girl who wanted to maintain some DIGNITY as she left that she "wasn't taking it seriously". The screaming fit somehow veers very swiftly into Tyra ranting (ONCE AGAIN) about her own experiences. Obviously, the message is everyone must process things like Tyra does. Or did. Or might, some day. Just keep it Tyra.

Ok season 3 you chose anne? Are you serious....the reason they chose Eva was because she was extremely talented....all those other girls except for a few paled in comparison to her. So to say that she was chosen because they needed to choose a black girl is complete BS. But I can agree with you about Jaslene...Shes beautiful and takes fierce pictures!! She is a little too skinny though.

Why on Earth does Tyra insist on calling the ANTM seasons "cycles"? It's a TV show, not a menstrual period.
