GENIUS! There must be at least three comments here from people who never saw it, it wasn't about cops or eye shadow. Take your meds. You can watch some of it on 4od. I have the dvd, it is great.
Not sure what the last guy was watching!? The Adam and Joe show was class. I loved the Star Wars soap operas done with the action figurines. Obi-Wan was always drunk and looking for money. The best moment I remember was when they tried to organise a piss up in a brewery. Literally, the turned up at a local brewery with a gang of friends and tried to get drunk. They spend the entire day being chased by security. Oh and the parody of Friends with the teddy bears, there's just so much good stuff.
At first, the show was not funny, had no flow, the characters had no chemistry--which is why Vint's kids "disappeared." Rue and Betty left for greener pastures as "golden girls." They retooled the show and created an amazing cast with amazing chemistry. For all of you pretentious geniuses out there, the show was CAMP. If you don't know what I mean, go out and rent the movie "hairspray." That was the brilliance of the show, it was SUPPOSED to be ridiculous and tacky. Like furry wallpaper and blue eye shadow. Watch it with that in mind. It was brilliant.
Back when Adam Cornish started appearing on panel shows and the pair of them started that Shock Video program voicing over dodgy porn
Just brilliant. I wish they'd make more. "I have one employee, who is me, and I specialise in the field of hammering things with my head. Down I go!"
They were on the TV two nights ago posing as Andy and Peter, a couple of none-too-bright presenters going around cartoon studios in the USA taking the rise out of everyone. Good stuff, and good to see that someone else remembers Andi Peters presenting Kids TV. Part of the Hot Reels animation festival I think.
Adam and Joe never jumped. They were very very good at low brow, low budget, yet high quality sketches, and i know a lot of people who won't forget them in a hurry. i'm Irish and i still maintain they'd blow a lot of american "shit" out of the water. and i am so seroiuslah.
Such a good show-like when they went round a supermarket taking all the "xtra free" out of random packets, pouring cat food into their shirt pockets. The film recreations using fluffy toys were superb too. You can see some of their stuff through the website www.channel4.com
Never jumped. It ran seven full seasons and ended with good ratings. A couple of shows in the last season were probably pilots for a sequel, but the chemistry between the two stars and the premise could not be duplicated. This show inspired hundreds if not thousands of young men and women to become police officers.
