I liked this show. I was very bummed when it was cancelled. I liked the idea of the father/daughter relationship. I will always remember the episode where Cynthia's character Meg barricaded herself in that apartment until she got her wishes to rent it and be on her own. I also remember the Christmas episode with the Wheel of Brie. That was funny.
Just shoot me in the begining stole the premise of a daughter making it big in her father's business. Dabney Coleman is an underapreciated comic genius...just watch 9-5!!!
Never Jumped - never got the chance to jump. I think NBC might have only aired 8 episodes because they were too busy promoting the crap out of The Single Guy (which was the worst show ever) and trying to find quasi-hip "must-see-tv" premises for shows that they never realized that a show doesn't have to fit into a category to be funny. This should have been the show that Dabney Coleman got fat and grew old on - and the star of the show (Cynthia Gibson?) was great and her character should have been given a chance to develop. It was a realistic look at a young woman making her way in the world and how that would clash with her father who is obviously from another generation but still love her at the same time.
