This show was so excruciationgly bad that it was amusing--just like an Ed Wood movie. I'd say, "just like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes", but that movie was s spoof of scifi and horror films. What on Earth was Mama Malone?

This was a horrible show. It was a total Italian stereotype. The creators probably thought it up on their way to work. "Lets have a big old Italian lady who cooks and call her Mama and give her this annoying fake Italian accent. People who hate the Sopranos because of the Italian stereotype should have been around for this show.

"best bakah, peppa-shaka, wide-as-an-acah mama you evah saw!" I loved this show- it was one of the few things my brother and I ever agreed on. Granted it would have JTS'd sooner or later as it has limited plot possibilities, but it should have lasted much much longer than it did.

The theme song was something like,"Cooking with Maaaama, Mama Maloooone, she's the besta baka (something something) Mama in the world....." I still have this theme song in my head 16 years later. Useless knowledge. Can I get an amen?

I remember this show! It was made from Norman Lear's production company and aired around 1982 or 83. Very good show.

Halleluiah! You watched it too? It was a great experiment, treating the show like a cooking show taped in Mama's home which was getting constantly interrupted by Mama's family troubles. Highly original POV, never been tried since except for the live E/R episode.
