when was Mandy ever good???

Pure camp classic how anyone can not love this show is beyond me .It is funny to see some doofus looking 16 year old try to sound like she has something important to say .For all you who say this show killed mtv PLEASE . Mtv sucked before Mandy Moore was even born

This showed jumped the second some MTV exec decided they needed another show to get the oh so sought after teeny bopper demographic; and since they couldn't afford Britney Spears they got one of her less-talented (if that's even possible)clones. This show is complete and utter garbage; plain and simple.

It jumped when the stupid execs dreamt this crap up in the board room!! Who in their right mind would give a show to a teenager with an annoying baby lisp and those stupid jerky body movements? And then she hosts a beauty pageant?? Look out, it's the next Ted McGinley, I'm telling you. And today I turned to MTV (I so don't know why I even do anymore) during a commercial and walked away...damn if it didn't turn out to be this show! I should have figured since they were playing her lisp-filled Neutrogena commercial prior. And before I can get back to the remote, I hear her declare: "yes *giggle* I am really so in love." What is she? 16? That's when someone should be allowed to START dating. Trailer trash who started having sex when they were 10 would actually think they are really in love at the age of 16. Those are the ones who go on to have kids before they graduate high school (if they even finish). This teen generation is sooooo messed up in the head...and MTV is certainly NOT helping. What the hell has happened to this channel? Why can't MTV2 put on this crap (can't get MTV2 where I live) and bring the videos back to the original music tv station? Are the people running the station 13????

Never did! I hate MTV,but this show was not that bad! And to the person who commented about Jessica Simpson ruining Jack and Diane,you are SO right! I wanted to punch my TV as well. Did she even get permission from John Mellencamp? I don't think she did because if he heard the mutilation she did to his song, he'd have a heart attack!

Any show on Mtv without Carson or without the short fat karaoke guy is great in my book

Brilliant show all cable's shows should be judged by the bar as this one.

I can't believe there are so many people here kissing Mandy's ass. I have yet to meet anyone who has had a positive personal experience with this overrated cow. I also had the misfortune of meeting this b****, and she was very pouty, rude, arrogant, and not personable.

This show never jumped the shark. Sure, it is a cheesy, hosted by your average Californian teenage girl, but the people in the age group like this show. Sometimes you just need to relax and not worry about the overcommercialism or whatever. Mandy Moore is much more intelligent than the other so called 'Pop Princesses.' Nice show, but the stupid beauty queen friends that never talk could go.

I would agree with those who opine that "Mandy" is symbolic of the decline of MTV and its ilk (in other words, jumping the shark from day one). I must note, however, that it wasn't Ms. Moore and her handlers who ruined John Mellencamp's "Jack and Diane" -- it was Jessica Simpson and HER handlers, who turned it into "I Think I'm In Love With You." But in a sense, I'll forgive the person who made the assumption, as I once thought Ms. Moore put out something called "Mirror, Mirror," only to find that that was by some group called M2M. Unless you look at the name next to the title, you can't tell one from the other. But "the company that controls her" comment certainly hits the nail on the head: That's why all the record companies are pushing insipid "boy bands" and equally insipid "girl singers" while groups like the Smashing Pumpkins break up and such "women of rock" as Sheryl Crow, Paula Cole, Sinead O'Connor and Sarah McLachlan are shunted aside by the disc moguls. With few exceptions, the so-called "teen pop" acts are controlled almost entirely by the record companies, their producers and/or managers. To say nothing of the musical arrangements that are as anorexic as the "voices" of such acts as the aforementioned Ms. Moore.

On the inside, I don't even want to get into that. And by the way it was JESSICA who ruined "Jack and Diane". I wanted to punch a hole through my TV when I heard that crap.

mandy has never jumped because she is the sweetest person to host a show and i love her because she doesn't dress like a slut like other people in the business and she plays a variety of music, not just the teenybopper videos.

To the above person who say's it jumped day one you are just jealous cause Mandy could steal your man. Mandy is so cool how she gives advice about dating and stuff. Wish MTV would bring this back as it was the only decent thing to watch on that channel.

Mandy Moore, or to be more precise, the company that controls her, ruined "The Ballad of Jack and Diane." I'm sure she's a sweetheart and I find her attractive, but I can't watch her for five seconds without getting angry.
