the show jumped when the sister became a drug dealer and when her mother became a show girl and did not sto crying.
Over all the show is great.

I thought this was a great show...then that whinnie season finale. Oh well. That's when it jumped imho
I actually came to this site thinking it was a different site that provides episodes, etc. Nonetheless, after reading some of the posted comments I have a few of my own. I think the show has very fine actors who are imaginative and display their skill over a myriad of personalities. This attribute is one of the very strong points of the program. Secondly, I am a male who has had both qualified and unqualified (male and female) supervisors. I am straight and have no problem at all with any woman achieving great success. I enjoy the show, recognize the talent and hard work that McCormack (and others) put into their work, and they deserve every accolade coming to them. Third - I am African American (or black) and I have no issue with the black characters portrayed. I also am very aware of the subtle and overt historic dissemination of white superiority and how it affects culture in our American society. In fact, believe the show does the 'vast wasteland' [television], as Newton Minow put it, a great favor. We will see how the next season holds up.
Cheers.

Good show with a GREAT season finale! It had it all and the end was clever. The show needs to be given half a chance and McCormack is a superb actress given the material. Her supporting cast lacks in that department, not her. Deny it ad infinitum but any show that portrays a strong woman is hated by straight men....PERIOD! If your boss is a woman you don't like or what's between your legs is nearly invisible, don't share your bitterness here. Yuch!
This show is pathetically bad! I watched 3-4 episodes in the hopes that it may get better, but frankly, it only got worse. What's with all the moralizing (especially in the episode with the African-American doctor)? And what's with all of the show's inconsistencies, like the doctor not being able to practice but the homeless shelter folks can run another shelter?
The two good things i can say about the show are that the sister is HOT and that the guy playing Marshall does really well. He gets some great lines that he delivers well, but the other characters are just boring to watch. That shark jumped on the first episode.

I agree...this show is poorly written and the characters are rehashes of every other character on every other rehashed cop show. I'll stick with "Law & Order" & its spin-offs, "Saving Grace" & "The Closer". "Law & Order" is a little old and dusty, but even its weaker episodes are better written than this.
Yesterdays episode finally "CLICKED"! The show found its course. Sometimes a little patience is all that is needed. There isn't that much of that left anymore, be it with the networks or the viewer.
Well, I think it is about "jumping" and not a fan-site but we should refrain from all the back and forth attacking. I like the show and if the mother and the sister get hit by a bus it would be much better. But seriously, we are all acting kind of ugly here. YT I discovered is becoming a joke on Myspace and we don't want to be that.
I didn't realize this forum had turned into a fan club website for In Plain Sight. I thought we were supposed to say whether it had jumped the shark and why. In my opinion that happened on day one. This one is poorly written and the plots are the same standard stuff you see on so many other police shows. Too bad because the USA Network had really been on a roll with L&O: CI, Psych, and Burn Notice.
Writing for television for a living does not make one's opinion about In Plain Sight any better than anyone else's. Someone seems to be concerned about that though because he/she seems to feel the need to put down everyone who has ever said anything negative about it. Maybe MATT should move to North Korea - his rants are getting just a little tiresome.

I saw it. It was amazing and so touching. Too bad that so many people dislike this awesome show. They are missing out on a lot or are they? Seems people watch the shows they hate religiously so they can slam others who love them. The baby scene was so effective! The way we actually liked the sister too, that little face, the teddy. Oh, nobody knows what I 'm talking about but they hate it .....
This website is appaling. Nothing but personal attacks. Keep on track. It's about the shows and we can agree to disagree. Most of you probably run to church and promise to treat others as you would like to be treated. Be ashamed. This is worse than You Tube, awful!
Oh Bonnie, Bonnie. Move your butt to North Korea if you won't respect other peoples opinions in this country. I write for television for a living and don't consider this a great show. I enjoy it and take it for what it is. You probably watch Big Brother and American Idol. Now that's GOOD TV!!! No, I don't write for "In Plain Sight".
I'm with you JS, that's exactly what I thought, did the writers have a brain freeze? or did they think we would not notice ? this show is bad enough without rehashed storylines.
And the situation between the boyfriend and the sister is just poor taste, and bad script writing.
somebody please pull tthe plug.
