Tami asked:
"I'm trying to recall the name of a BBC show that aired in the states in the sixties, around the time of The Prisoner and The Avengers, it was of a similar genre. It involved 3 or 4 people, who's plane crashed in some snowy, mountainous region where they were rescued by mysterious sherpa-like people and taken to a Shangra-la type place. I believe they were healed by these people and given super-human powers. After which I believe they went on to become crime-fighters? I'm not sure of any of this but I loved this show and none of my sisters remember it! If it sounds familiar to anyone, please let me know if you remember it too or, as my sisters always claim "I must have dreamed it!""
The answer is:
"The Champions"

Robert asked:
"I have a vague recollection of a short-lived prime-time half hour comedy show from the mid-sixties (perhaps somewhere from 1964 to 1967). It probably didn't even last a whole season. I believe it starred George Globel (but perhaps it was someone else), as a bumbling fool who, by strange coincidence, just happened to be identical to an infamous foreign spy, called U31. U31, unbeknownst to his unnamed country of origin, was killed by a hit and run driver upon his arrival in the United States. Naturally, the George Gobel character was reluctantly pressed into service by the Federal government to impersonate U31, with predictably funny results. I have no idea what the show was called. I do, however, recall a snippet of the opening jingle..."There was a foreign spy by the name of U31. On his first day in, he's done in, by a hit and run...." That's all I've got. Can anyone tell me what the show was called and when it aired, and if George Gobel was really the star? No such show is listed in George Gobel's filmography."
The answer is:
"'The Double Life of Henry Phyfe' with Red Buttons."

Brian asked:
"It think this was in the late 90's. It was a cop drama and I think it was on around the same time as John Doe. The premise was undercover cops whose precinct was hidden behind the facade of a commercial printer. Even when the cops reported for work and buzzed themselves in, the secretary was often giving printing tips to a customer. When the secretary answered the phone she would always say they only accepted high-volume commercial accounts and recommended the caller to go to an office supply store. The main character was undercover working at a florist (I think) who was having problems with the Russian Mob. This was an excellent series which was cancelled after the Mobsters attacked the store and during the shootout the cop accidentally shot the storekeeper. IIRC the cop's handler helps him to 'cover up' things. Any ideas?"
The answer is:
"Prince Street"

"There was a TV episode I saw one time -- sort of like Outer Limits or Twilight Zone where it's one short story told in one show. I believe it was in black and white. There was a young boy who has a set of army men, tanks, etc. and he lives in a rural area or even a farm. The premise of the story is that for some unknown reason, every day more army men and accessories appear. I don't think it took a violent turn and I can't remember more than that but I'd like to see it again and I don't remember which show it was on. Seeing Stephen King's "Battleground" adapted on TV recently reminded me of this old-time episode. Anyone know what this is?"

"There was this late 80's/early 90's TV miniseries about some deep ocean explorers who happen upon the intact hull of the (as yet undiscovered) Titanic. One of the divers looks in a window and sees a person peeking out. Fast forward. It turns out that many of the passengers and crew survived the fabled voyage to the bottom of the sea and are now living full, happy lives on board the boarded up bottom feeding leviathan. Using typical TV pretend science, they explain how they survived pressure, oxygen requirements, food needs and waste disposal. There is even a subplot of a romance between one of the diving team members and a second generation cruise passenger. The episode ends with a tantalizing cliffhanger. The diving team has now fully acclimated to the extreme pressures of the depth and can never leave. Sadly, I never saw the "To be continued" episode. What was the name of this awful under the sea fantasy and how does the story end? "

"This is an on-going argument I keep having with a friend: On the 80's cartoon show Inspector Gadget, was Dr. Claw's identity ever revealed and if so, who was he revealed to be? I have a faint recollection of Dr. Claw, in one of the final episodes, being revealed as a woman. In the episode, Gadget actually comes in contact with Dr. Claw, but does not recognize her as Dr. Claw, says something like "Excuse me ma'am" and lets her get away, but I could be wrong. My friend believes that an episode reveals Chief Quimby as Dr. Claw, and that he wants to kill Gadget for continuously throwing the exploding notes back into his face, pretty far-fetched. If anyone can give a final, definitive answer to whether or not Claw's identity was revealed IN ANY FORM, I'd be very thankful!"

Any ideas?"

Kitty asked:
"I’m trying to remember the name of a very short-lived TV sitcom that aired on FOX. I want to say it took place somewhere in Canada, but I’m not sure. There was a girl in it, brunette and maybe 20-25 or so, and random things started talking to her like a flamingo on a balloon and a freaky red figurine, among other things. In one episode, there was this other girl that was really blonde and ditzy, she kept referring to the main character’s friend as “Janet” even though that was radically different from her real name. The friend said her real name, and the blonde girl responded by saying “Shalom!” Please help?"
The answer is:
"Wonderfalls"

Derek asked:
The answer is:
"Only Dr. Claw's metallic hands and arms are revealed...you never see his face."

Jothie asked:
"What was the name of a very short lived TV show in the late 80's or early 90's? It featured a Vietnam vet that was wanted for some crime who had to sneak back into the country under an assumed name. He became a children's book writer and was friends with a blind black man (I want to say played by James Earl Jones) who wanted to be a comedian and carried around a small tape recorder to play a laugh track every time he made a joke. The blind man was a computer expert using Braille to read the output and the Vietnam vet was a vigilante by night."

"Sable"
